Hello, I'm Saskia
I am a BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Registered Mental Health Nurse with over 10 years’ experience supporting adults with a wide range of mental health difficulties.
I have a particular interest in supporting adults experiencing:
-
Depression, low self-esteem and perfectionism
-
Adjusting to long-term health conditions including chronic pain and chronic fatigue syndrome
My experience and approach
Over the course of my career, I have worked alongside people experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, and difficulties adjusting to significant life changes. I believe that therapy works best when it is built on a trusting, collaborative relationship where you feel listened to, understood, and supported.
I'm trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). I draw on these evidence-based approaches to tailor therapy to your individual needs, helping you understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop practical strategies to create meaningful change.
My approach is compassionate, non-judgemental and focused on working with you at a pace that feels manageable. I recognise that reaching out for therapy can be a big step, and I aim to provide a safe space where you can explore your experiences and work towards the changes that matter to you.
