Therapy approaches

I offer therapy based on research and tailored to your individual needs. Together we'll find an approach that works for you and your goals.

Types of therapy I offer

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT explores the connections between our thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and behaviours. It can help you to identify patterns contributing to your difficulties and identify strategies to change these patterns. It is collaborative, meaning that we work together to identify changes that you can apply in your life.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT focuses on helping you develop a different relationship with difficult thoughts, physical feelings and emotions, rather than feeling controlled by them. We will work together to clarify what matters to you and take actions towards living in a way that aligns with your values to help you live a more meaningful life.

Compassion-Focused
Therapy

Many people experience high levels of self-criticism, shame, or feelings of not being “good enough”.

Compassion-Focused Therapy aims to reduce distress by helping to develop a kinder and more balanced relationship with yourself, while building emotional resilience and compassion towards yourself, others and from others.

Which approach is right for me?

You don't need to decide which type of therapy you need before getting in touch.

We can discuss what you're experiencing, what you'd like to change and what approach is likely to be most helpful. In many cases, this can involve more than one approach. Most importantly, we'll work together to find what feels right for you.
